I started using Crunchi products in 2020. I had been on my toxin free journey for about 7 years at that point. I had tried a bunch of toxin free makeup brands that just weren’t cutting it for me, so I was still using my toxic products.
I had heard of Crunchi and even did some research on Crunchi, but I was skeptical to try it. Their price point is on the side of high end makeup with pricing equivalent to many brands at Sephora. I didn’t want to spend money like that on products that didn’t perform well.
Crunchi is completely toxin free, they use sustainable packaging, they’re non-gmo, gluten free, Leaping Bunny Certified cruelty free, and a lot of their products are vegan! Most of their products are manufactured in the USA too, except for their wood pencil products which are made in Germany which has the best quality wooden pencil production in the world.
So, eventually, I bit the bullet, made a Crunchi purchase, and never looked back! Crunchi is 100% WORTH IT! Most of their products are BETTER than the toxic products I was using before! All my friends and family who have tried Crunchi also agree.
If you’re curious what makeup products from Crunchi are definitely worth it, and what products you can skip, keep reading! (I’ll do Crunchi’s skincare products in a separate post.)

Crunchi Beautifully Flawless Foundation: MUST HAVE
Okay, I am IN LOVE with Crunchi’s foundation! It has medium coverage that is buildable to full coverage. It looks like skin…not like a mask you painted on. It also lasts all day! Foundation was one of the first purchases I made from Crunchi and I haven’t used another foundation since…this stuff is that good!
Crunchi’s foundation also contains ingredients that are good for your skin! I like to consider it another step in my skincare routine.
Crunchi’s foundation contains…
-Mushroom Extract: Contains powerful antioxidants.
-Rosehip: Reduces the appearance of fine lines & wrinkles.
-Glycerin: Hydrates the skin.
-Jojoba: Rich in antioxidants. Promotes an even skintone.
-Sunflower Seed: Reduces redness and hydrates the skin.
-Aloe: Hydrates, plumps, and calms the skin.
For reference, I wear shade 2.0 in Crunchi’s Beautifully Flawless Foundation. I’m fair with neutral undertones.
Crunchi Smart Primer: HIGHLY RECOMMEND
I really do like Crunchi’s Smart Primer! If you’re looking for that silky silicone feel, you won’t get it with this primer. Crunchi’s Smart Primer feels more like a moisturizer.
Crunchi’s Smart Primer does keep my makeup in place all day! It also doesn’t cause any breakouts for me. Other primers I’ve tried have caused my skin to break out…this one does not!
Crunchi’s Smart Primer contains…
-Mushroom Extract: Contains powerful antioxidants.
-Jojoba Oil: Rich in antioxidants. Promotes an even skin tone.
-Sunflower Seed: Reduces redness & hydrates the skin.
-Shea Butter: Contains fatty acids and vitamins that soothe and condition the skin.
I’ve been using this primer just as long as I’ve been using the foundation! I highly recommend, but if you don’t like wearing primer, you could skip it.
Crunchi My Alibi Concealer + Eyeshadow Primer: MUST HAVE
Y’all, I CAN NOT live without Crunchi’s My Alibi Concealer + Eyeshadow Primer!!! This makes my eyeshadow last all day, zero creasing. Its staying power is better than my old holy grail, Urban Decay Primer Potion.
For concealer, I can’t live without it either. This covers my dark circles so well, it doesn’t get that dry cakey look, it covers any redness and zits that might pop up. This concealer is literally the best concealer I’ve ever used in my life.
If you’re going to try any one Crunchi product, it needs to be this one. I can not recommend the My Alibi Concealer enough!
For reference, I wear shade 2 in Crunchi’s My Alibi Concealer.
Crunchi Everluxe Lip Crayon: HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Over the years, Crunchi has changed their formula and packaging for their lipsticks multiple times. I think they have finally nailed it with the Everluxe Lip Crayon!
The lip crayon glides on so smoothly, it can double as a lip liner, and it’s so sustainable! The crayon may look small, but a little goes a long way! My Rosewood lip crayon is my most worn (I’m talking about twice a week), I’ve had it for at least 5 months, and I haven’t needed to sharpen it once yet! So like I said, you don’t need much for incredible color payoff!
They have a nice array of colors now too! My favorites are definitely Rosewood, Acai, and Plum Kiss, but I’ve also been wearing Sienna Red quite a bit lately!
Crunchi Hydrogloss Lip Oil: HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Crunchi has reformulated their lip gloss products multiple times as well and I think this is my favorite formulation! Their formula before the lip oil was thick, gooey, and made a mess on the tube.
The new lip oil has the same color payoff without the thick, gooey feeling AND there is ZERO MESS! The product doesn’t seep out of the tube.
My absolute FAVORITE color that I wear almost daily is Namaste! If you’re going to get any of these, Namaste is a must have!
Crunchi Shadowbar: I LIKE IT, DON’T NEED IT
I really like the formula of Crunchi’s Shadow Bar eyeshadows. If you’re an eyeshadow junkie, you will LOVE this product!
The color payoff is incredible, the eyeshadows aren’t super powdery, and you get 4 of them for $48 which comes to $12 an eyeshadow!
My cons with the Shadow Bar and Crunchi eyeshadows…
They don’t sell single eyeshadows anymore. While $12 per eyeshadow sounds like a great deal, unless you’re going to use all the colors in the Shadow Bar, it’s kind of a waste in my opinion.
Crunchi used to sell single eyeshadows and personally, I’d rather spend the $22 or whatever they were for a few eyeshadows that I know I’ll use versus buying the Shadow Bar.
With that being said, I really do love my Shadow Bar Vol. II. I have hit pan in the white and brown eyeshadows, I use the black to set my lower lid eyeliner (if I wear it), but the burgundy color, I’ve never touched.
Crunchi Cheekmate Blush & Luminescence Highlighter: I LIKE IT, DON’T NEED IT
I really do like my Crunchi blushes and if I’m placing a Crunchi order and I need more blush, I do order Crunchi’s blush. Same with their highlighter…it’s great! I love it!
They have really nice colors, they’re not too powdery, and they have amazing color payoff!
My thing with blushes in general is there are only so many shades of pink. Lots of toxin free companies make a nice pink blush.
With highlighters, like how many shades of a shiny champagne color are there really? It’s hard to mess up a highlighter!
So if you’re planning on placing a Crunchi order, I do recommend grabbing a blush and highlighter because you will enjoy it! But I wouldn’t place an order just to get these products. Does that make sense??
Crunchi’s Translucent Finishing Powder: IT’S GOOD, DON’T NEED IT
I’ve used this product and my makeup looks great when I use it! My makeup also looks just fine when I don’t use it.
I like to set my face with Arrowroot Powder from the grocery store. It works just fine!
If you’re super into that flawless, poreless finish, Crunchi’s Translucent Powder is great! My sister loves it and has repurchased it many times!
I just never find myself reaching for it, but you might really love it!
Crunchi’s Shattered Mascara: DON’T LIKE IT
When I first tried this mascara, it was great! It made my lashes soooo long, it lasted nicely without giving me raccoon eyes. But over time, I started to notice my lash line would get itchy and my eyelids started to break out in eczema.
Once I stopped using this mascara, my eczema cleared up. Unfortunately, I just can’t wear this mascara, but I know of a lot of people that really like it and it works great for them!
Final Thoughts On Crunchi Makeup
Out of these products that I’ve tried, the ones you need to try are the Beautifully Flawless Foundation, Smart Primer, My Alibi Concealer, and the lip products!!
The rest, it’s up to you! I don’t think Crunchi has any bad products or products that don’t work! It’s just your personal preference on what your makeup style is!
At the time of writing this post, I have not tried the Solarize Bronzer (I have the old loose powder version and it’s lasted me FOREVER so I haven’t needed to try the pressed version yet), the Eyebrow Pencil, and the Pencil Eyeliner (I tried the old formula of the eyeliner but I haven’t tried the pencil yet! I don’t wear pencil eyeliner often at all.)
